A sad person, probably one of the saddest characters in the series. Sadakiyo has no friends when he was a child. He attended Kenji's school for a brief one semester. At the time, he was always beaten by other kids. So he always hid himself behind a mask. Later in teh summer of 1969, he wandered and discovered the secret base of which Kenji and his friends built. There he met another person, Fukubei. Sadakiyo plead Fukubei to be his friend. Fukubei told him that he will be Sadakiyo friend but he must only call Fukubei by the name "Friend" only.
Sadakiyo grew up to be an Enlish eacher who taught Kyoko class. It was thought that Sadakiyo was the mysterious "Friend" figure for a long time. But in fact, he was just a miserable man.
