Otcho's one of Kenji's close friends when they were young. Otcho's a smart and strong boy. In fact, he's probably the best at figther in this series. Although Otcho's a tough man, he also had an emotional scar. Becasue he was a very career oriented person when he was younger, he didn't pay much attention to his son. One day, his son saw a man similar to Otcho across the street. The boy ran across and got hit by a car. Since then Otcho was changed. He's missing for 1 week after an auto accident in Thailand Jungle. After that he resigned. He was reportedly found in India (1989 AD). At the time he was on the way to Tibet (Volume 2 Chapter 5).
In the year 2000, Otcho lived Bangkok, Thailand. Here Otcho earned a legendary name, "Shogun". He was working for Isono helping prostitutes in Bangkok. In the summer of 2000 AD, Isono asked Otcho to help a drug overdozed man at Grand Park Side Hotel. The man told Otcho he was an under cover policeman from Japan who came to Thailand for a vacation. While he was here he did some investigative work that involve "Friend" organization. He babbled to Otcho that Japan's now belong to "Friend". The policeman said he stole an evidence which's "Friend"'s button. He continued on telling Otcho about "Friend" and the plan to destroy the world. Before he could finish telling he's already dead (Volume 4 Chapter 1).
Afterward, Otcho moved back to Japan and helped Kenji rivalling against "Friend" organization. After the year 2000, Otcho was captured and sent to Umihotaru prison. There he met Kakuta, a young Manga artist who was sent to jail for the crime of drawing comic. Later the two escaped from the prison and met up with Kanna at the Shinjuku-Kabuki Catholic Church which located in Kabuki Cho area.
